DON'T WAKE UP NNY! I WANT TO LIVE!!! LIVE!!!!!!

i remember that twilight zone episode. i'm only actually worried if nny is on death row.

I'm entirely too stoned for there to be so few people on Last Plane

Also Jordan Michael called me to tell me that he was going to get drunk for the first time.  I actually tried talking him out of it.

I thought I heard he was hittin' the sauce on the camping trip?

yeah, i remember that too. maybe it wasn't enough for him to get drunk? beth said it tasted terrible... maybe he couldn't get enough down to make himself drunk.

That's a kickass episode of The Twilight Zone!  I need to get the 3rd collection, speaking of that.

i am listening to a mix cd i don't remember making (though i can tell it's from sometime in 2005 by the songs that are on it), and it just transitioned from "love rhymes with hideous car wreck" by the blood brothers into "a little less sixteen candles, a little more touch me" by fall out boy, and somehow the transition worked so seamlessly that it went from really incongruous (based on how different the songs are) to PERFECT.

sometimes i'm a mix cd genius.

Recently, my Macbook had been clocking battery times that fell far short of what they should have been after just a month of use. When I first got this thing, my battery life from a full charge was about 5:45, give or take. Recently, I'd been booting to an estimated battery life of like 3:30. Like I said, after barely 30 days of use, this isn't what I want to see. But I did the battery reconfig where you charge it fully, let it drain completely, then charge it again. When I booted, the battery life was about 5:30 again. So, if anyone's getting less than stellar battery performance... yeah. Do this.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has fallen foul of intellectuals and critics who see his passion for jogging as un-French, right-wing and even a ploy to brainwash his citizens.

Alain Finkelkraut, a celebrated philosopher, begged Mr Sarkozy on France 2, the main state television channel, to abandon his "undignified" pursuit. He should take up walking, like Socrates, the poet Arthur Rimbaud and other great men, Mr Finkelkraut said.

Maybe he wears those grotesque little running shorts, the ones that men's balls sometimes fall out of.

well he got down enough to be saying "GUYS I'M NOT DRUNK. I'M NOT DRUNK. REALLY. NOT DRUNK." very loudly over and over. and to squat on the ground behind me and shout "PUSH HER. PUSH HER." until I figured out what was going on and avoided certain death!

I'm trying to figure out if I should be getting in touch with anyone at my soon-to-be school to tell them that I'm diagnosed with some anxiety stuff and prone to panic attacks and crippling fear spells that make it hard for me to leave my room for days at a time.  But how do you start THAT conversation?

and, greg- I hope everything is working itself out okay. best of luck!

Sarkozy and Finkelkraut are both completely ridiculous, just don't pay attention to them. I don't know about the running shorts, but SuperPresident likes to wear his NYPD t-shirt whilst jogging.

(also fyi this whole debate, as ridiculous as it is, was spurned by the fact that at some point we had footage of him jogging on the news everysinglefuckingday. Now it's only twice or three times a week or so.)

This thing recreates acid visuals for about twenty seconds. I've seen them before, but this one works incredibly well. If you've never done a hallucinogenic drug before and have wondered what the visuals are like, this goes a long way to demonstrating it. If you have done em before, this will be incredibly familiar.

Tell me that when you first looked away and the walls were breathing, you weren't like "Wow, that's familiar"

Well.  It's been some time since I experienced that.  Too bad I didn't have any wood paneling around me.

well first of all it's youtube, so the video was all choppy, so the "psychedelic" aspect just didn't work, and all i got was a burned-in pattern on my retinas, and also i have seen ones that did work, and all they do is make surfaces move a little. if acid was that boring, i would not take it.

i'm permanently tripping though, so some very interesting shit has to happen for me to actually care.

ok so this was me two minutes ago reading this list of sexiest album covers: Hey, there's that cover. Why is that...OH MY GOD THAT IS NOT A DRESS IT IS MADE ENTIRELY OUT OF WHIPPED CREAM.

I have seen that record cover off and on for years, and I always just thought it was a really fancy dress.

Oh, my God. I have to go now.
