Right now my house is filled with crazies. Really. Someone was supposed to come inspect the drainage field and instaed a small army of men showed up. including the man buying the house. this made my mother rush home! The buyer is wearing a renn fair t shirt and he and my mother are racing around the house one upping each other with stories of widowhood and high school tragedies.

Me: Hey, so I noticed that you threw out that pizza from the fridge.

Roommate:  Yeah, it had been in there for a while.

Me:  Yeah.  No, that's cool, it's just, y'know.  There wasn't any mold on it or anything.  And it was still in a ziploc bag.

Roommate:  Yeah...

Me:  Yeah, it just.  You know.  It looked like it was safe to eat.  Even sitting in the trash can.

We had a pretty strict rule among my roommates of not throwing anything out unless two of us agreed it was unsafe to eat. 

Stuff still did get thrown out, though.  Abel kept some nasty shit in the fridge.

We're just sitting around staring at each other tonight.  What's going on?  Tomorrow is my sixth day working this week.  I was so pissed about it, but then my mom reminded me that I'd be getting paid overtime, which made me slightly less pissed.  Also, I finally get a day off on Sunday.

Burberry has an orchid as part of the visual display, and when we replaced it, the visual guy let me take the old one home.  I'm not good at plants, but somehow, a new shoot is growing.  This makes me happy.  I'm trying to keep it from dying, mostly by ignoring it.

Earlier when I was out walking I got to talking with some guy who said he had just gotten out of jail after being there for two months.  He said that being in jail for two months had enabled him to quit smoking.  He told me he was whistling earlier and asked if I thought the birds could hear him whistling.  He showed me the set of dominoes and the baseball that he had found somewhere earlier.  Then he sold me the baseball for a dollar because he was trying to scrape together a few bucks for beer.  He tried to sell me the dominoes for 2 bucks, but that shit was too rich for my blood.

I walked a ton today with my older brother and then a half block from my apartment I was gesticulating a bit too wildly and by accident slammed into some latch on some gate guarding some prissy little house.
