You may all be missing the point of the JV cover which is the mysterious frightening lady sitting behind him.

only in the rarest of circumstances should an artist be allowed to put his own face on the album cover
Iggy Pop springs to mind.

A friend of mine has a better record collection than me, some of which I've
been drooling over for some time. This guy, being the good man that he is
agreed to sell me some records (possibly because they had my drool all over
them).
I got:
7's
Peter Jefferies/Robbie Muir - Catapult/The Fate Of The Human Carbine
The Garbage & The Flowers - Catnip/Carousel
Terminals - Black Creek/Both Ends Burning
The Mighty Caesers - Cowboys Are Square
Thee Headcoats - Automatic Love
Thee Headoats - She's In Disguise
Snapper - Alive
The Dead C - Sun Stabbed ep
LP's
1/2 Japanese - 1/2 Gentleman/Not Beasts 3 x vinyl box
The Terminals - Little things
The Terminals - Uncoffined
Electric Eels - The Eyeball Of Hell
The Replacements - The Shit Hits The Fans
This Kind Of Punishment - Beard Of Bees
Double Happys - Cut It Out
John Fahey - Fair Forward Voyagers
I am a very satisfied man & I'm fucking happy that I now own the first Dead C 7". I've been after that thing forever

Burzum -
Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
On vinyl? Good score.
Rasputin had his whole discography on vinyl, as well as Emperor's. I basically died right there.

I actually got really good prices. I'll have to be a bit careful with money this week, but I got much cheaper than on some auction site or somesuch.

I can't be arsed to include pictures or long comments now - I had done it yesterday but was unable to post.
Anyway, I got these two in the mail:
Bowerbirds -
Hymns For A Dark Horse
John Vanderslice -
Emerald City
And bought from the Virgin sale :
Ghostface Killah -
Fishscale
(absolutely mindblowing)

The Burzum was all repressed recently. Didn't know they did another Emperor repress though--I need to re-buy

Like I said, it's rockin' as shit. It sounds like all those old psychedelic records my dad's got in his collection.
your dad owns albums as good as dungen? by what bands?
Off the top of my head--and I'm not saying they're like TEH BEST REKKIDS EVAH, but they're pretty psyched out:
Crazy World of Arthur Brown
The Blues Magoos - Electric Comic Book
The Frost - Rock and Roll Music (this is particularly crucial Detroit garage psyche stuff)
Next time I'm home, I need to tape some of these albums.
don't know the frost, but i will back your comments about the other two. i wish my dad owned albums that cool.

If only I had my record player with me, I'd pick this up in a second. Gotta love them Grabass Charlestons.

Mosaika- Rubicon
I got this from the thrift shop today. Haven't listened yet, anybody know anything about it? All the text is in Russian.
So it's pretty fun, I'll share a track. the first one.
Mosaika- The Tenth Wave
The singer really gets into it every now and then. He's awesome.

Well the Sun Stabbed was definitely mine, right? right? You want to make claims on that now?
Mighty Caesars was a mistake there, we've talked about it, and I will talk to Scott. Have rent to be paying, bills about to go to debt collecting agencies, and my first pay isn't till next week. And now I also have no jacket, ipod or way of getting out the tiny amount of money I now have left after the various aforementioned.
And the prices were medium to good i think, as long as Scott doesn't think he ripped me off, getting a decent chunk this week made me able to cope when i wouldn't be able to easily otherwise.
Sometimes resale value is why you have records, right? Just sometimes....

Tiny Vipers- Hands Across the Void
Plants- Photosynthesis
There is no tracklist anywhere on the Tiny Vipers album packaging, which seems pretty classy.

Death in June - "The Phoenix has Risen"

Feltbattery - "It Had Wings"
The Feltbattery had a note written by someone at the record store reading: "New label called Migration Media owned & operated by Pelican's Trevor. CD-R, handmade covers, editions of 100. This one is quiet; drones and nature sounds with percussion & loops."
Haven't listened to it yet, but it sounds like it might be kind of nice. It was under the "Pelican" artist card, along with some other disc on the "Migration Media" label that was described as a husband and wife duo making "intense indie" music. Needless to say, the "nature sounds with drones and loops" definitely sounded more interesting
The
Pitchfork review
however, isn't very helpful.

My picture of the cover is a much more reasonable size than fygmynt's was. Only heard it once through, but pretty solid so far.
