justin, what does that sound like?

I haven't had time to listen yet.  I'll let you know when I do, though.

So I just threw this on, and It's leaving me perplexed, because it actually sounds like a hardcore record from 1982 or something.  Maybe faster.  It's good, but definitely not what I was expecting.  The back says "recorded in 1982, produced by Ayn Rand", and that sounds about right.

hahaha! i'm all about that!

can someone else start a new thread? i'm feeling lazy.

Mekons - Natural: Haven't listened to this one yet.

Nice. so have you heard it yet? How does it compare to say Journey to the end of the night? (their best album to date I say)

My gf used to work at a CD store, and she'd spend a lot of her day processing used CDs. One night I came to visit her and she presented me with a used copy of Nine Black Poppies. I was pretty happy.

t&p, I'm just getting around to listening to the Mekons album now, and although John seems to have beaten me to the punch it is pretty good. The Mekons have always had this quality of playing exactly what I want to hear. This album is no different, though it seems they've gotten better at knowing what I want to hear but withholding it for dramatic effect.

Picked up both of those used today... almost bought the latest Angels of Light new as well, but I had to watch the budget, and figured that it'd be easier to find that one around than hoping that the used one would stay on the shelf till I have more money Smile

Record store had a bunch of interested used stuff today... someone must've sold off their collection recently or something. At least I know there'll be some stuff waiting for me next time I go back Wink
