see, i'm all for snow, seeing it out the window, going for "sprited driving" in it, but i don't like breaking my scraper on the 1/4 inch of ice that builds perpetually most nights.

also i do get pissy when i have to go outside to smoke and it's like, -99999 degrees out and not really warm enough inside either. thats just pits.

Ok, update: I called my manager to ask if they were holding closers, and she said, "no, but I will. I'll call you if we need you to come in later, but I expect them to close the mall tonight." So, woo! Snow day! (and I didn't even have to call out and get frowned at!)

I called out sick from work today.  I don't think I've called out in over a year.  This was a good decision, though; I've been meaning to catch up on my playing-video-games-in-my-bathrobe tasks lately.

I was extremely close to doing the same myself, though my attendance and punctuality has left something to be desired as of late...

Still, though, I have new comics at home and now that all of teh adrenaline has worn off, everything hurts...I wish I were in my bathrobe.

See, that's one good thing about being a girl. If I really wanted to, I could wear a bathrobe to work and pretend it's a dress. I mean, maybe not one of my comfy fluffy ones, but. . . So far I made a cup of coffee and shoveled snow, now I'm about to make another cup of coffee and try to find something edible in the house. Later I'm supposed to go out with my mom, tentatively dinner and/or a movie.

I still haven't gotten around to playing video games yet; I couldn't stop thinking about papier-maché, so I ended up making the beginnings of a mask while listening to Hawkwind.

Due to tech related issues I am leaving work early and going snowshoeing in Acadia National Park.  Seems like a good way to salvage what has been a really frustrating day.
