i also was shown that what i thought was the myth of everyone in the studio having a fantastic time while they work was in fact true.

baaaaaasically i have the coolest job on the planet.

I was sixteen kinds of brave last night and now I have someone who is going to accompany me to a concert I want to see in september as long as I go with him to a metal show at some point in the future. Hurrah for deals! Hurrah for concerts! Hurrah for not wandering around baltimore on my own!

Does it resemble the "cabbage patch" by any chance?

Went for a run in the rain today!  Gods damn, I love running in the rain.  Here, try this, Eliza:

"The rain in Brooklyn falls mainly on the Erskine."

"BALLS BALLS BALLS BALLS BALLS"

"No, try again.  The rain in Brooklyn falls mainly on the Erskine."

"BALLS BALLS BALLS BALLS BALLS"

"Better...  The rain in Brooklyn falls mainly on the Erskine."

"BALLS BALLS BALLS BALLS BALLS GREG ERSKINE"

"Close enough!"

The kittens have started tottering around the dining room, in the way that little kittens who are still learning to walk do, and it absolutely kills me.  They'll run, like they're about to fall over, and then jump on each other, and then actually fall over.  Also, they're snuggly.  I am going to try to take some pictures of them at some point, but right now, it's just making me super happy.  Kittens!

Greg, I love you.

I also love running in the rain. You can just keep going forever! Unfortunately this fucks up your body parts.

Yeah, it's great!  Constantly-cooling.  Like someone's just continually spritzing you in the face with a water bottle.  I'll have to remember to hire a manservant to do that when I make my first billion.

Also, re: my last post: I sure wish blucas were around this week.

For the past two years or so, I had been operating under the idea that my friend's stepmother was the nicest woman in the world. Just, ever.

And then last night I met HER mother! She doesn't speak any english and just spent a solid fifteen minutes stroking my face, patting my head, smiling, saying happy sounding things in chinese, and then giving me more hugs and kisses. Because she had HEARD that I was a good friend to her step-grandsons. She also kept making me eat in between hugs.

I just really like knowing that people with that much love in them exist! And that they are raising other people! Amazing ones!

I got to snuggle the babies tonight.  Their mommy is trying to turn them against us, but one is totally sweet, and while one is completely terrified, the third engaged in the age old kitten tradition of climbing onto my shoulder, then my back, and then not knowing how to get down.  I love them.
