This is my friend Todd's arm.

I enjoy his tattoos very much.
Does anyone have any advice for avoiding red eye at the time you are taking pictures? All the rest of the pictures in that set are FILLED WITH RED EYE, and I don't have Photoshop and the software I do have mysteriously deleted two of my favorite ones from my computer while I was trying to fix them and I cry. I used an indoor photography setting and I had to use the flash because it was all dark.

Some cameras have an anti-redeye setting that times the flash a little differently, I think it does a little warmup flash to pre-dilate the pupils or something.  Other than that, I dunno.

In Santa Monica:

In Chicago:

In Spring Lake:

None taken with camera phone. All disposal camera. Shitty, yes. I am not drunk or naked in the above. No. Only advertising Poland Spring and bad smiles. Also, disproportionately large arms. Hm. The camera demonstrates once and for all that I am an ape! God bless photography.

i remember on the 3rd street promenade in santa monica, even the homeless people seemed a little staged.  i think one dude's sign was like "my american dream: a cheeseburger and fries"  and another person had an equally wry "will work for food" type sign.  i'm not sure what my point is, but the crying statue of liberty photo kind of reminded me of that.  plus there weren't any public bathrooms on that whole street.  you had to go to the back floor of the food court and pay 25cents just to use a bathroom.  fuck that place.

that's a really cool chicago church photo btw.

Most terrific.

And swv, yeah, I hate that part of Santa Monica; that whole 9/11 tribute was right off the pier. The reason why I bought the disposable camera, actually, its tackiness.

I'm gonna second that, and also say that I like that it looks like it's really old.

Haha, aww, thanks.

Just for that, you guys, here are two more photographs. The first is from the same Santa Monica mural. The second is of the same church, but from a different, less heart-shaped angle.

Google Earth updated the aerial view of my street. It now includes my neighbor's new pool (end of last summer) and fence.

Where were those pictures taken exactly?  Looks a little bit like Presque Isle, but it's probably not.
