that photo on the left is of a photo in the window of Caffe Sant'Eustachio in Rome (not far from the Pantheon, and possibly my favorite cafe there), which shows Di Palo's (where this photo was taken, on Grand Street in Manhattan), which sells Sant'Eustachio coffee.  infinite coffee deliciousness.  the yellow cans are Sant'Eustachio coffee (you can just see them in the photo in the photo in the photo on the left.)  the big black and white photo is the inside of the cafe in Rome, which looks extremely similar today, though a slightly different crowd.  this picture makes me really happy, I can't even explain why.  but I think I have to go back to Rome some day.

ok, this explanation kinda makes my head explode. aren't you holding two pictures? what's the other one of? you didn't say in this explanation, did you? because if not, then all is good. but if so, yeah, head explode.

the one on the right is just a picture of the cafe from further away.  the picture on the left is a picture of a picture just inside the doorway cafe on the left.  does that make sense?  and no, I left it out of the explanation, because it was already so confusing.  so no head explosions necessary!

hey jon,
i sat behind a red truck yesterday that had a mural painted on its tailgate of a hilltop in mexico and the virgin mary on the side, and the words 'el cuvilete de guanajuato' or something like that.  the mural was actually pretty good, the place looked pretty special.  i was gonna pm you this, but i thought all should know.  i don't know if its a sign or what.  but this is the second time in a couple of months that i have seen something about guanajuato randomly.  the other time was taking a bus from midway to o'hare, and there was a sign in a mexican travel agency for guanajuato.  i don't know if that is a sign or what.  

they have some famous mummies there!

i was waiting for someone to comment on that.
we had a birthday party a few weeks ago and we all hate doing dishes, so my mother bought a gigantic stack of plates and was like, "NOBODY USE REAL DISHES UNTIL THESE ARE ALL GONE."

but really. i hate doing dishes.


also: no naan, sadly. it was sort of an impromptu dinner.
