oh man, i really need to go spend at least a little bit of money on comics. i need that issue of y the last man, i need the new issue of fell, i'm sure there are a few other things i will be unable to live without... and this way, i won't end up having $150 worth of comics to pick up by the time i next make it in there.

It's funny, I just came in to talk about Achewood and you beat me to the punch. Anyhow, I just subscribed to the archive (it was on sale last weekend), and it was worth it, though I hope I don't have to pay annually since he hasn't added any new content in a while.

Comedian and Rorschach look pretty good but...  why is everyone else so young?  My friend says he thinks that those images must all be from the flashback sequences but I fear that he may be giving hollywood too much credit...

The visuals look alright, but after 300 I'm of the opinion that the film as a whole is going to suck pretty hard. Snyder seems like a hack.

yeah, i think night owl looks right too, though i can see what you're saying about ozymandias in particular--too young.

as for the movie in general, yeah, i agree with pollo--don't exactly have high expectations.

the fascism inherent in 300 is something i blame almost entirely on frank miller. that dude's been off the deep end for years, which is why "all star batman and robin" is a piece of shit.

EDIT: that said, the director of 300 probably isn't the best guy to give life to alan moore's vision, considering that, politically, moore and miller are polar opposites.
