Ah, happiness, the sweet plum you are!
I have the magical online connection now, yes, but my ability to socialize is still nil or thereabouts, so it's 100% likely I will break all plans and out, too.
If anyone goes to shows at the Empty Bottle, though, say a hello and I might say one back!

So I went to this casino tonight because Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Kings of Leon were playing in their outdoor yard thing. I've kind of wanted to see BRMC for awhile, but I didn't want to drop 30 bucks on this show so I was just gonna go and stand outside the fence and watch, which is really not a bad view at all. So I watched a few songs and was bored out of my mind, so I wandered into the casino and sat down at the penny slots. I put in a 20 because that was the only bill I had and figured I'd play until I lost 5 or 10 bucks or something and then cash out or whatever. So bet on 25 lines and bet 1 credit on each line. So I'm sitting there just kinda absentmindedly hitting the button over and over, understanding how people lose many many thousands of dollars on shit like this. I'm winning a little, losing a little, I was down to like 4 bucks at one point, worked my way back up to 9 or so, still hitting the button, hitting the button, and all of a sudden the thing started making noise and blinking and little coins and shit started flying across the screen and my credits started going up and up. I'm sitting there watching it and some lady walks by and goes, "Oh nice, you got the flags!" "I guess so," I replied. "Yeah, you did. That's a really good thing." "It must be, because it's got all these graphics and that number keeps going up." "Yeah, the flags are the best thing." "Oh, neat." So these flags made me win like 50 bucks on what was a 25 cent bet, putting me up to just over 60 bucks. I hit the button a couple more times and decided to call it good when I got to 60 even, 40 bucks ahead on the damn penny slots. I cashed out and went back outside and watched a couple Kings of Leon songs, quickly got bored with them and went on my way. Now I'm celebrating my victory in style, with a bacon double cheeseburger from Burger King and a sixer of Old Style tallies.

I love it when I go grocery shopping and the firemen are there, too, buying big amounts of Fireman Food. I ended up buying a can of minestrone soup, though--which I don't even like--because I got flustered when 5 of them smiled at me in the canned goods aisle. firemen are one of my weaknesses.

Nice, what is fireman food?
but wait... "don't like" and "minestrone".. together?
and I'm happy because after almost a year of counting mileage, the car's fuel gauge miraculously fixed itself and seems to actually be showing how much is left instead of always reading "full"

also, I just finished afternoon tea. with ENDLESS SANDWICHES. plus really good scones, clotted cream, jam, cake, cookies, chocolate mousse, oh, and yeah, tea. despite all the tea I fell asleep on the subway on the way home. standing up. in heels. I am now going to have a food-coma nap.

ENDLESS SANDWICHES
The title of my first short story collection? What I'll make my future child ask for if he or she wants the crusts cut off? The newest, hippest euphemism for gang-banging? Oh, the stomach is satisfied and the imagination tickled!

Hey, I had the opportunity to be in a gang-bang porn movie last week! It did not make me happy; it grossed me out (the very idea of it, not the experience, which I of course did not have). But I'm in the happy thread--unsure might be better--because if all goes well, in seven minutes (probably six by the time this posts), I will have won my first ebay auction!

Did someone just ask you? Because one time someone just came and solicited by friend to be in an 'average' porno. Like, 'average' sex, with 'average-looking' people. Apparently there is a big market for that.

Hey, who you calling "average looking" there, CoH? But nah, it was at Mondo Video and they were just soliciting anyone in the vicinity, basically. Of all the things I find depressing about pornography, I think the gang-bang genre ranks up there in the top bracket.
But happiness: I ran to Trader Joe's, came back, and learned that I had won my very own copy of William Friedkin's
The Brink's Job
, for a big $1.25. Now I have to figure Paypal out.

Ha, didn't mean to offend, just seems like if they're openly soliciting they must seem pretty desperate. But I'll remember that next time I watch some gang-bang.

I'm just feigning indignation. In reality, I aspire to be average looking. I still haven't kicked all that adolescent low-self-esteem bullshit entirely.

Mike, I reckon I'd bang you back. I mean, if I weren't so straight and all. I'm not sure two constitutes a gang, though.
