Hey Hannah:

"The Field Where I Died":  Worst episode ever?  I mean, "Jersey Devil" is pretty bad, and some of the Season 8/9 ones are pretty bad, but at least none of them involve Mulder being a Confederate soldier.

Hey Chris:

Yes, that is notoriously the worst episode of the series, although I can't speak for what aired after the sixth season. I think "Musings of a Cigarette-Smoking Man" should be coming up, though, if you haven't watched it already, so all should be forgiven. Awesome episode, that one.

And hey Greg:

Yes, worm v. crab. Just the best.

And hey everyone else:

Bodie listening to "Prairie Home Companion." Man!

Edit: switched a "can" to a "can't."

Yes!  They're back to back, though I've skipping around in Season 4 according to which ones actually work on tv-links, since the torrent is downloading really slow.  I couldn't bring myself to watch the Chupacabra one again, though.  hahaha My Spanish teacher showed that to us in class.

I remember thinking "Musings" was sweet when it aired... but I don't know, it's also kind of a little over-the-top.  They make him a little *too* powerful.  I mean, for someone who covertly controls the world he sure fucks up a lot.

Imagine that!  Do I get a tshirt?  I knew it was coming up and I was like, "Man, I should pay attention so I can actually do something with it instead of it just being another stupid post about TV."  But there ya go.

Okay, I admit it, I haven't watched "Musings" since it aired. When I was 11. So.

I gave up on trying to stream the episodes of Friday Night Lights from the first season because my laptop kept crashing in about the 7th minute in, so I  netflixed it and watched the ENTIRE FIRST DISC last night. And I am increasingly less sure about The Thing That Happened because I am getting acclimated to this pace and these characters and I love it so so much and don't want it to change and regardless of what actually happened and whether I am right about the one thing, and I'm probably not right because I never am, it is a HUGE CHANGE. I'm not sure if I'm entirely retracting my earlier stance, but nooooooooooooooooo.

So RE: FNL, I have been thinking about the 'thing that happened', and I think it's worth noting that the first season also started with a 'Thing That Happened', ie a thing that could have led to relentless melodrama, and instead changed one character's life utterly, yes, but in interesting and real ways (eg Murderball audition etc.) that any other series would have botched senseless. So maybe this time, we see the life of a mathlete changed, changed utterly, instead of an athlete. Therefore, I say stop the premature hatin.

But that was an external thing, whereas this thing was... out of character and stupid...

Right, it had the potential for melodrama, but it's a Thing That Happens to athletes. I am not trying to hate yet; I still want to see where it goes, I am just less...sure.

We'll see.  Bipolar girl, steroid subplot, MILF subplot were all pretty dumb but it didn't really matter all that much in the end.  See how it plays out before you freak, people.

I will come as well.  The quality of writing will be so poor, the writers will come back out of pity!

Gosh, I like 30 Rock.  hannah, you were right that "Hardball" was a great episode -- the final negotiation scene pleased me more than I can really express.

One down-side of the show, however, is that my desire to be the father of Tina Fey's children is becoming dangerously urgent.

oh hey, me too. i saw the first four episodes of season one yesterday, and it was hilarious. tracy morgan is probably the awesomest part of the show, but alec baldwin and tina fey do bring the funny quite a bit themselves. and yes, tina fey is incredibly hot.

There's nothing wrong with them striking, this is just our chance.

They're (maybe) striking because they got screwed on DVD revenues, and now they don't want the same thing to happen with intr0net revenues.
