the dude who toook me out to drink (really being a friend I swear) texts me "at least you couldve told me youre leaving" all offended-like and he is right I am being a total asshoel but I am drunk so hopefully he understands that later ahhhh.

I'm sure he'll understand.  and he should have seen how drunk you were and helped you home.  that's the rule when you take non-drinkers out to drink.

I've been drinkin rum n coke all night and boy do I feel fine.  My out of town friend is here talking to a lady on the phone that we saw at the bars and she says I look like the whats his name on "the notebook" and I told her to fuck off I'm not gonna screw her.

The booze situation here is pretty dire.  I have about a shot of gin, a couple of shots of rye, several various beers scattered throughout the fridge, and some diverse frou-frou stuff that I keep for Mindy's different whims.  Mindy is out with friends and I am here with all three boys plus one of their friends who's sleeping over, so I can't go anywhere and pick anything up.  I have just gotten a very cranky little one to sleep and I deserve a cocktail or several.  Guess I'll make a Manhattan out of the rye?  No limes but the gin is Hendrick's which doesn't mix well with the lime; they recommend a cucumber garnish instead.  Ooh, I think I might have just a touch of Campari left, I could probably make a Negroni with the gin and skip the G&T.  Oh crap, the baby's crying again.

So, given this board's penchant for calling out lurkers, (I'm looking at you maaik) and my current level of inebriation, I figured I'd make an introductory post hereabouts.  Hi all.  I posted a couple times here before, but was scared away by the general awesomeness of the people here.  Hopefully this time, I'll be able to overcome my shyness.

I shall try sir.  I've a six pack of sierra nevada pale ale in my fridge which has been treating me well thus far, though now I am drinking a Rolling Rock and listening to songs ohia.  my girlfriend, roommate and other friends have all deserted me in favor of sleep at this point, but I am up for the long haul.

edit:  wow it's been a wwhile since i've been drunk enough to mess up spelling...

Right on, though vicodin seems not to have the effect on me I would like.  I only had a beer with it last time I tried it though, I was nervous about liver damage, etc...
