Heineken is objectively a shitty beer but I don't feel like rehashing it again right now. Search for one of my 10000000+ previous posts on the topic.

Heineken could be free and it'd still be a shitty beer.

I agree that Heineken > PBR, but I would never buy it, unless there was nothing else decent about.
it's not bad in Holland, though. I have the same issue with Stella Artois, it's terrible here, but pretty decent across the ocean.

You know how earlier this week, I thought we were gonna have the Guinness Word Record folks on hand here at the plant where I work? Well, they're here today. And we actually DO have officially sanctioned beers for our employees to enjoy during the event, 'cause it happens after the whole shop staff is off work and they want the shop dudes to have reason to hang around and have a good time, which is just about the nicest thing my company has ever done for the peons.
Meanwhile, I'll still be on-the-clock, but boozin'. And running a DVD player in a lab full of folding chairs. I've been setting shit up ALL DAY. But I did get free lunch, and now there will be free beer (but no guinness! What the fuck!?)
Also, these people I work for, they supplied lunch today, and they gave us Italian beef with pepperoncinis, but also with raw onion, mustard and ketchup. I thought was gonna hurl when I saw dudes actually slathering their buns with ketchup and mustard from buckets.
But, I digress: I'm going to drink free beer at work this afternoon. Back to the faux auditorium.

jakartas are treacherous, even on weekends. I just woke up from a three hour nap. damn. also, I should probably invest in a flask so I don't have to carry booze around in a nalgene.

you know, I generally avoid heineken, even when its really cheap, just because its got this preppy stigma attached to it. But fuck it, when I go to the grocery store and see 18 heineken for $13, I'm gonna buy the shit out of it.
I've never even had St. Pauli girl before, and the other day I went to the store and they had 12pks of it for 8 bucks. I don't care what the fuck it is. 8 bucks for a decent 12 pack is good. Just like 13 buck for a decent 18er is good.
normally heineys are like 14 bucks for a 12 pack here

We invented it by accident when I didn't have any milk to make a proper Irish Coffee. It's roughly six shots of espresso with whiskey.

Let me tell you about this bourbon and how it is so good I think I might try to eat the bottle when it's empty.

I don't think I've ever had any kind of bourbon at all (I know, I know), but I'm totally down with that brand, on account of the fact that it, erm...inspired

Who is Nathan?
Ok, since it has been a whole twelve hours since I last tasted it, I'd better get a little sample to refresh my memory.
First, let me say that I like my bourbon neat. I will sometimes take a little water in my scotch, but I prefer bourbon that's very fiery & viscous and water, even a modest amount, interferes with that.
The scent is enticing. Warm, bright caramel. Very sweet. I'm perfectly happy just taking in the aroma for quite a while. The first taste on the tip of the tongue is remarkably unsweet. Quite sharp, in fact, and woody. The second wave of flavor over the middle of the tongue is warm and nutty, like pecans, but not actually sweet. The sweetness and caramel is almost wholly in the scent. At the back of the tongue it's bright and almost bitter. Quite a rich, dense mouthfeel.
Great stuff! A little goes a long way. I'm very sad that when it's gone, it's gone, as the distillery burned down.
