I got to work this morning and took a 45 minute nap in a secret nook that I've prepared.  It was pretty awesome and I had a crazy ass dream.

Sorry, with that last one, I was getting sick of the formula. Fill in the blanks/fucks if you so desire.

Though I don't know if you can still call it a date after two years

I think you can. I'm told that any time food is consumed, its a date. true story.

I like this! And what if there is a movie involved? Is there an algorithm, like, can I plug in the number of months or years to make a super date, or a date to the ultrath power?

My wife is always asking me to take her on dates, she'll be awful disappointed to learn that we can't do that anymore due to having been married for 10 years.

Is anyone else reading the forums? KILL ME!

Which reminds me: I'm almost always on the side of teachers, but in this case? Naw!

Quote
Back and forth the discussion went, until Oct. 3, when [local superintendent] Dr. Farrell wrote an e-mail message to the district’s director of facilities, John Willabay. She vented a bit and then allowed: "Please go KILL these people....Please, please, please."

Then she sent it -- not just to him -- but, accidentally, to an unknown number of others as well, including Terri Dubuke, a sixth-grade teacher who was one of the critics. Ms. Dubuke read it in shock and referred it to the teachers’ union, and the matter was discussed at a closed-door school board meeting on Oct. 17.

Reminds me when the editor-in-chief of the newspaper I edited/wrote for in college said in an email to the entire staff, "I hate Hannah"! I didn't get mad! I got even! Except, of course, she wouldn't publish my piece that doubled as a rebuttal...

MAYBE I SHOULD KILL HER

I did my Russian homework last night, while pretty heavily intoxicated... I look at it this morning, and it's perfect. Bizarre!

Are you at the big creepy one with the gargoyles?  The Harold Washington library?  I'm actually going to be a couple of blocks from there at some point this afternoon.

No, I was at the big ugly Triscuit-looking 70's edifice, Regenstein.  That's the main library.  Harold Washington I think is the main CPL library.  You're probably thinking of Harper, if it's gargoyle-y and on campus.

For the record, 'big creepy building with gargoyles' describes pretty much every other building on campus besides Regenstein.

PS if you're ever in Hyde Park, go to the Falcon Inn on 53rd between Lake Park and Cornell.  Sit at the far side of the bar, next to the bowling video game.  Knock twice on the bar and wink at the bartender.  He will serve you an Old Style.  Tip him two dollars.  When you turn around, you will find an astral projection of me, and if you buy me a beer I will tell you how you will die.

Thanks! And, yeah, I do, I guess: Hoboken, or whatever, my home of my childhood and adolescence, where my mother, books, security blanket, cat, favorite bowl, some Kids in the Hall DVDs, and everything I've ever written or drawn still reside. Perhaps I should call it "my ur-home."

Hey

I am just on for a bit while I slam some coffee in preparation for driving down to Quincy.  Mindy's parents are preparing to move back to Spokane, WA in a few days so we're heading down to have one last weekend with them.  I should probably be packing or something but fuck it, nobody else is even awake yet.

I should go for a run, then get ready to go to Brewtopia, but I'm here for a moment.  Best of luck with the Quincy-drive, Yojimbo!

FUN FACT:  The town of Quincy, Mass is actually pronounced "Quinzee".

How's the pie?

Hola, all. I am preparing to resume my running schedule, after about two weeks without any exercise whatsoever because I've been sick and fairly lazy. This should be ugly.
