I explored more television on the internet today. Cavemen is just as awful as I expected and I can see how Desperate Housewives would appeal to the kind of people it appeals to, but it is not for me. There need to be more episodes of Pushing Daisies and The Big Bang Theory.
haha oh man no. Just no. You'll be talking about "Men in Trees" or "Brothers & Sisters" next. Oh Greg Berlanti, how the mighty have fallen. Have you watched "Chuck"? There's like a dozen nerd-rom-coms this year and it's far and away the best.
Except for the
Cavemen
hate. I don't think there's a single person on the planet that enjoys that show.

Anyone watch Life on Mars? Just got it over here, and I am hooked, baby.
Life on Mars is fantastic, but alas, there is a second season. It doesn't end where is should.

So "Razor" is really, really rad, but I'm getting more and more worried that BSG is going to have a bullshit ending.
Though I'm at least hopeful that it will be set to a classic rock soundtrack.

c. sagacious
d. bitchcakes
2. When I think of Newsradio, _______ comes to mind.
a. the cast
b. the mug
c. the breakroom
d. a plate of bitchcakes smothered in secret sauce
3. My favorite "wacky Matthew plot/recurring joke" is:
a. the Big Brother
b. the twin brother
c. computer solitaire: teacher, brother, secret lover.
4. In the time of chimpanzees, I was:
a. a monkey.
b. a ranting raving crazy little man with a monkey head.
c. Frodo the paranoid gnome.
d. chimpan-a.
5. The best NR catchphrase/whatever is:
a. Oh...my...lord.
b. Good day, sir!
c. Sex people, exeunt!
d. Your last name is Garelli?
e. Go to hell, Costas.
f. That's really all I've got right now.
8. I wish I was:
a. sexy
b. cute
c. exotic

Oh yea, I have watched Brothers & Sisters. It's ok. I'm going through ABC right now, I'll move on to another channel next.

I watched the final episode of Season 3 of House last night. Chase and Cameron are gone! HELLS! YES! Foreman's gone, too, though, but I guess it's a fair trade to see Blandy Girl and Boy From Oz take off. I look forward to their replacement by Kumar.

I just can't stand the way ABC is meticulously reshaping the serial drama as nothing but a yuppie soap opera. They might end up single-handedly undoing all the good work HBO did the first half of this decade.

I needs to get on some recent Weeds downloads. I think I have everything up to episode 10 or whichever the first episode
where Silas is working at the grow operation.
Also... I... I think I hate Zach Braff.

I hate him in general, but "Scrubs" is still pretty damn good. Mainly thanks to McGinley.
Though it should've ended 3 seasons ago, obviously.

Also re: Razor, and this isn't spoilery at all:
Throughout BSG's run I've always assumed that "This has all happened before and will happen again" was just a cheesy pseudo-Hindu vagary that was supposed to invoke religiosity without really meaning anything, but more and more I'm worried there's going to be some bullshit timeline fuckery in Season 4.

I'm okay with that.
Though
the bits with young Adama and then with Kendra in the OG hybrid and the voice says "This has all happened before," etc., that shit was kinda dumb
. Over all I thought
Razor
was pretty great, though I want to watch it again before I really start thinking about it. I was really, really stoned this time, so I'm not sure I really absorbed everything. I'm definitely conflicted about the revelation
that Cain and 6 were lovers--I mean, it's fine, except then it means that the show's ONE queer character is a sociopathic war criminal
. I did like, however,
the moral ambiguity, that they were giving Kendra the commendation, despite the fact that she really wasn't much better than Cain, that she was the first to shoot on the
Scylla
, etc.
I do really wish that the leaked version was the DVD version, not the TV one, 'cause I was interested in a bit more of the backstory about Shaw and Cain, plus I think there's some Adama stuff in there too. (Maybe some of that is in the Flashbacks?) I wish they'd have gotten Baltar in there somehow too, 'cause he's my favourite.
So Chris what do you think about
Starbuck leading humanity to its destruction
?

Is the timeline fuckery the "bullshit ending" you are worried about, or is it something else?

Yeah, I was extremely conflicted about
lesbian action
too, for obvious reasons. I was actually glad they showed
Cain going crazy *before* she found out about Six. If they were going to make her craziness all about being jilted, I was ready to posse up.
.
To clarify, I don't think "Razor" has a bullshit ending, I'm worried about the series possibly having a bullshit ending. I'm worried they'll go overboard with the faux-religious stuff basically. I love it as a backdrop, but if it drives the plot DANGER DANGER.
But I'm thinking that
Starbuck *will* bring around the apocalypse, but that it's a good thing. ie, the Human/Cylon conflict has actually been going on for eternity, and Starbuck will manage somehow to break the cycle.
The Cylons are striving to become "biological." Suppose they destroy humanity, then 3 generations from now they *are* biological, have forgotten they were ever robots, then create a new robot race, who destroy them, then become biological, etc etc.
This is dumb but I think it's where they're going. It would also probably explain the mysterious nature of the "Final 5."
I really really hope they don't do this, but I'm more and more convinced they will.
