I agree, except of course the "Robin Sparkles" episode, which is fucking epic.

I've been watching Marina's

DVDs. That show is even funnier than I remember it being.

I like how Dave Foley looks consistently like he's going to crack up at any moment

That show is amazing for how good it is
in spite
of it's incredibly shitty cast (other than Hartman, obviously). Imagine if you were trying to pitch it to someone today, like, say, aftm, who had never heard of it, "Yeah man, it's awesome! It's got Joe Rogan and Andy Dick! And that guy from
Celebrity Poker
! And the lady from
ER
and
Liar Liar
!"

So like, what's gonna happen with all youse guys' favorite shows over the next few months? Everything's been filmed for the fall season I'd imagine, but what happens after that?

FUCK YOU
1. Maura Tierney's actual a really good comedic actress/straight woman.
2. Okay, Joe Rogan sucks.
3. But Andy Dick is excellent.
4. As is Khandi Alexander, Phil Hartman, and Dave Foley.
5. AND FUCKING STEPHEN ROOT.
Sorry, I've talked about this before, but after The X-Files NR was my obsession... and I think it holds up better than The X-Files.

ok, fifth season notwithstanding*, it has a higher quality episode : shitty episode ratio than xf, even if xf's quality eps are most superb
*but man the last few episodes and the season premiere and "stinkbutt" are all killer, f'real

Yeah man, for real. Dave Foley is great, as is Tierney. AND FUCKING STEPHEN ROOT
I guess I coulda just QFT'd hh, but I don't much care for Andy Dick. I was pretty much enthralled to hear that Jon Lovitz bounced his head off a bar.

Andy Dick's only good role was NR, and he did it swell. Episode when Dave's revealed to be Canadian, not verbatim...
Matthew: I have a secret.
Catherine: You're gay?
Matthew: I am?
If Lovitz's accusation about Dick having helped Hartman's wife get back into coke is true, I'm sort of for the violence there too.

Even if it's not true, Dick apparently talked a bunch of shit about the both of them and that's enough reason for me right there

Dave Foley
used
to be great, and Maura Tierney has been boring-to-outright-annoying in everything besides NR. Stephen Root is funny but one-note. And I don't know how anyone can even try to seriously defend Andy Dick or Joe Rogan outside of NR.
OK, maybe that one time Joe Rogan started a fight with Carlos Mencia. But I'd give Hitler himself props for starting a fight with Carlos Mencia.
I'm not bashing NR, here; I'm simply saying that it was career peak for a lot of people who've performed terribly since.

Stephen Root is funny but one-note.
He may look one-note if you're only remembering one of the characters he's played throughout his career. That might make him look one-note.

Or, you know, the dozen or so things where he basically plays his character from NR. I guess his voicework is all over the place, though.
Maura Tierney has been on
ER
being boring more than twice as long as she was on NR being good.

Nny, they are separate things but the prequel series is looking like it won't happen.
Are you guys talking about the "Razor Flashback" things? That actually is going on, but it's just a series of really short episodes. Their air it on Fridays during Flash Gordon. There's only 7 episodes, and they're 2-3 minutes long each. They aired the 5th one on Friday. Apparently you can stream them on Sci Fi's webiste somewhere or other. I haven't watched any of them yet. I"ll probably just wait a couple weeks and watch them all at once.
