I knew there was a Danzig/indie cover resurgence. I KNEW it. No apology necessary; I know you're sorry.

I've covered "I'm the One"!

indie kids are earnest now; don't you read "The Believer"?

btw, no matter how you answer that question it makes you more indie.

Oh HELL no
Quote
Nobody can ever say that Matt Czuchry is a victim of typecasting. He's following up his memorable stint as hard-living bad boy Logan on Gilmore Girls with an arc on Friday Night Lights as -- I kid you not -- a devout Christian. Natch, he's being introduced to the show via the newly religious Lyla.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
I do not even have anything constructive to say about this
Isn't Lyla going to get with the dude who Was In Juvie, also?

Well, note that it doesn't say he's necessarily a love interest for her.  But he probably is.

I think it's likely that Juvie-guy is going to end up being a love interest for someone else.  Probably Tyra.  Maybe even Julie because it would be funny.

Struck-Out Casts Stage Tele-'plays'
Quote
The casts of "Saturday Night Live" and "30 Rock" are mounting stage versions of their shows, which have been knocked off the air by a writers strike, The Post has learned.
The productions will be staged at a small theater in Chelsea.
The "30 Rock" performance, set for Monday night, has already sold out at the 150-seat Upright Citizens Brigade Theater on West 22nd Street.

This would be a LOT more exciting if I lived in New York, but still.

It's UCB! You definitely have a shot at standby tickets. It all depends how early you want to get in line.

Are you fucking kidding? 150 seat capacity and 30 Rock is playing.  Greg has a shot at tickets if he got in line four days ago.

the actors don't own the shows though, the networks do.  They could stop it right?  That is assuming that without permission you can't do a stage performance of a television show that someone else owns.

The networks do not own their shows.  They purchase scripts and orders of episodes from studios or production companies.  I'm pretty sure both SNL and 30 Rock are owned by Lorne Michaels' production company, so as long as he's OK with it, they can do it.

This results in weird shit all the time in the TV business, since the networks DO often have studios and production companies under their larger corporate umbrellas.   For example, ABC/Disney owns and produces "Scrubs" even though it airs on NBC.

It may still be an inappropriately long wait, but they're going to pack in as many standing room only people as they can. Not to mention that the ucb site says "Advanced reservations are sold out. LIMITED TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR" which also means that the reservations, not the tickets, are sold out, so no one that made a reservation paid to do so and some of those will definitely be up for grabs. There's not a lot of hope but there's hope.

What's so odd about this, Jeb, I was looking through some old MP3's from back in the day, and, sitting slackjawed in the midst of all my rare Armored Saint mp3's I found this old Danzig demo for Mother. http://download.yousendit.com/1E1D0D451F7F1D45

Hey so Lost's showrunners are scabbing.  Nice to finally have a reason to never watch that show again.

I mean, what a couple of dicks.  Their fellow showrunners at CBS get threatened with lawsuits and STILL don't budge, but these douchebags come back because they "owe it to the fans."  Fuck you guys, the showrunner holdout was one of the biggest peices of leverage to get the the AMPTP back to the negoiating table and end the fucking strike, which would be way better for your "fans."

They always seemed kinda douchey in interviews, and now I really, really, really hate them.
