If you don't currently have an money invested in lenses, it's entirely up to whichever SLR body you like best, fits best in your hand, etc. Both are great cameras.

This is June.  I helped make her.  After 9 weeks I have decided that she is pretty awesome and I will keep her.

I think this belongs in the crafts and constructions threads.
she is adorable!  call me if you ever need a babysitter!  uh, in new york...

That is one cute baby! Here is another, slightly younger, also very cute baby who just happens to be my niece. I think she has a lot of gravitas for someone who's only been on the planet for six weeks or so.

Look at my 'creativity'.

It deserved commemoration. There've been about two people who have got it without me having to explain gay pride and/or internetz slang.

I made a sort of Christmasy thing for my door out of some branches and a ribbon and ornament I found in a drawer. Now my house looks like the rest of the houses on the street (sort of). Like someone lives there who celebrates holidays and stuff.

No no, Joseph is a Jets fan.  You see how reverent he looks, and how Mary looks like she's looking over at the lamb as if to say "Seriously?  I give birth to the son of god, and Joseph wraps him in a Jets jersey?  He does realize that Jesus won't end up playing pro football, right?  What am I going to do with him?"

I think the photo is simply representing the miracle of when Jesus turned into a T-shirt.  The Catholics call this Transubstantiation.

They got a bunch of the crowd on stage while they were playing No Fun. Iggy's the nude torso in the center. I gotta say, the man's an amazing showman. He dragged a crowd of drunk kids on the stage for precisely one song and then proceeded to kick them all off in a reasonably orderly manner. He also got hit in the head by three different pieces of flying debris during the show without missing a beat.

Last night was spent with my friends who are in a band and the whole thing ended up not debauched, but pretty drunk, like drinking-to-combat-stress-and-that-is-probably-really-bad drunk, and so we decided it would be a good idea to take a series of Fake Album Covers (they will be recording in Brooklyn the first week of the new year).
