One of the other members of a discussion forum about Irish architecture (where I post when LPtJ just isn't nerdy enough) put up a few nice pictures of Dublin recently. If you're curious,
this is where I live

i like how the description he gives at the beginning is all very poetic and literary, as i imagine all irish people must talk like with their august literary heritage.

couple christmas photos from my very terry gilliam christmas (in which my brother in law gave me an 'i am a jesus freak' t shirt which the rest of my family found offensive, a holiday time in which my sister gave me a lava lamp as (another) jest. everything happened in a fish lens. i was expecting, the entire time, to wake up and shake off the dream dust, but no go. it was real! and yesterday i wore an 'i am a jesus freak' t-shirt out in public!

oh no, that's my mother's. do you see the strange, surreal toad? she used to have full-sized santa clause statues hanging out. actually maybe she still does have those statues . she is really easy to shop for, all you have to do is find the most surreal animal mythic figure possible, preferably whittled out of teak wood.

i'm terrified of that toad. if i had ever been four years old in that house, i would have screamed and hid from it.

Yeah, I think I would've either done that, or talked to it nonstop to learn its secrets.

Yesterday's weather:
The mid-morning view from our back door. You've met Jake's teepee before:
Later, in the afternoon there was a big storm and it lashed rain for about 20 minutes, but then the sun appeared low in the sky:
After the storm...
I saw lots of birds, all flying east, except for these guys who seemed to be gathering in the trees in preparation for something:
The collective song grew louder:
Until BOOM!
Gone:
Bed time:

I don't think I actually know anything about their illustrious careers and/or personalities, but I used to see them on occasion when I worked at the Manchester Airport. I refrained from saying anything about Chyna's supposedly-gargantuan clitoris.

i've seen pictures... it's bizarrely fascinating, like any other picture of a medical oddity.

dude, you should see the pictures. mom's a former antique collector, and there's lots of spooky 1800 era currier and ives.
there's this one, called 'little jonny', which is what my fam calls me (jonny) and it's as spooky as they come. i used to worry i'd one day wake up looking out of the picture!!!

Hell yeah it does! I've seen a sex video with her and some other wrestler in it...it was like watching an automobile accident. I didn't want to see it, but I couldn't look away.
Fascinating stuff.

The brick portions and in fact a lot of it reminds me of Boston.
