But it's like local band Talkin' Mountain says in their song "Baseball Stars"

"...And I've beaten Bubble Bobble
A bubble couple billion times.
And when you get to the end
you'd better have gotten there with a friend
or you'll never know that the secret is friendship and love"

If you use Gmail and you go to the Spam folder in Gmail, google ads helpfully provide you with a list of spam recipes.  It's pretty great.

Gingered Spam Salad
Spicy Spam Kabobs
Spam Vegetable Strudel

Oh there are just too many

One of our upstairs neighbors, a man we've never met, just stopped by to wish us a merry Christmas and give us a box of chocolates. He was very nice. When he was gone Jacob asked me if that is what Christians do. Is it?

I believe it's known as "fellowship."  Catholics don't do it so much, so it wasn't part of my upbringing other than awkward donut eating after church on Sundays, but as I recall my Protestant friends were more adept at it.

I don't know, my experience with Mindy's family tells me that "fellowship" means hanging out together and talking about how much you love jesus.

Pro tip: if someone uses "fellowship" as a verb, run.

yeah, but I thought there was usually food involved in fellowship?  like the free pizza those college groups would use to lure young sinners.

UPS delivered someone else's package to my place (same number, adjacent street). I ran down the street and gave it back to the delivery guy, and afterward wondered if I shouldn't have just walked it over and met the neighbor, since I don't know any of my neighbors.

On the other hand the package was addressed not to a person but to "The Three Grimms".

All the more reason to try to meet the neighbor, I say.
