Let's rather not get started on this, because currently I discuss question like this for a living (or rather, full-time, since payment for my services is still a little hard to come by).

Have you considered setting up a PayPal account for donations?

There's no money in philosophy. That is, don't encourage people to pay him for this! He'll be all the better for it!

... and that is why your lifestyle is shameful to you and your loved ones. Will you make a PayPal donation to my judgement-server fund?

But how else to test my 'Wealth corrupts, but absolute wealth corrupts absolutely' theory?  GI is the perfect test case specimen!  Don't blow it for me now, jeb, I beseech you.

In the meantime, I'm going to start by playing Go for money and deliberately losing, just to whet his appetite for the high life.

GI- what are the PayPal details?  I know a Nigerian gentleman with surplus cash that requires a new home...

I have a multi-part question. Part The First:

Wasn't there a thread, maybe Pollo started it, maybe it was called like "Thread Where We Help Each Other Out" about requesting specific YSIs?
If so, was it deleted or otherwise frowned upon? Because I will not complete the multiparts to the multi-part question if the answer is yes.

thx

What I did was type "elpollodiablo" in the name field, then "help" in the keyword field.  And hit "Search", and got this.

Don't feel bad, though, you found my recipe for chicken pot pie.

I feel bad about that for entirely different reasons, and also I tried searching in a couple different ways but I guess I didn't think of just putting "help" in there

also thank you sir

The second or third day of law school, this girl raised her hand and was like, "Ok, I have a two-part question" and the words had barely left her mouth when the entire class started snickering uncontrollably.  More proof that not all law students are toolbads.

I want this one room that I just saw an ad for so bad. Perfect location, big room (26 m2) with an even bigger fucking roof terrace (30 m2!), 3 roommates which strikes me as pretty good (provided they're nice, obviously), a big shared kitchen, yet not out of reach financially. The fact that an entire wall is made of glass might be awesome or kinda sucky, I'm not really sure about that part yet. Still, a roof terrace!

I'll definitely shoot these people an e-mail when I'm not too tired to write two or three paragraphs in relatively coherent Dutch.

I'm fully prepared to take on Jeb's and pollo's class rage in exchange for a roof terrace, in case you're wondering.

Haha, Reese is right on, but the places I'm looking at are in Maastricht, NL.

On a related (though not to the apartment with the roof terrace), yet still appropriately random note - how silly is it for a non-smoker to consider a smoking ban more or less a dealbreaker? I doubt I'll ever find myself in a situation where I'll light a cigarette in my apartment (a joint, maybe, but even that I'm not sure of), but I've never had a problem with friends smoking at my place and I kinda want to keep it that way. Hmm.

How very European. Around hereabouts even most of the smokers I know refuse to smoke inside their own homes.

Of course, they're not chainsmokers or anything. But still.

I was the same way... and then, um, I became a smoker and now it's an even bigger dealbreaker. But I don't consider it silly at all.

So this could also go in the happiness thread or the where you're from thread but seems more apt here, I guess. Anyhow, this is the registry of the ship on which my family rode from the Netherlands. (Oh god awkward phrasing there)

(That second site is rad too. Do a search for Jebadiah and you can totally go all the way back to this dude who rode the boat over from Holland. Also for some reason it lists my brother as being named "Joshus"

My method for surfin' LPTJ is to open all the new posts up in their own tabs, so on a busy day I'll have like fifty tabs open.
