Seriously Golden Globes?  Seriously?  Just about every comic actor on television deserved it more.

I am not optimistic about the show but I'll watch an episode or two to see how it goes.

Yeah, the acting looked sub-CW quality from what I saw. Blech.

Is sub-CW quality where people just read from cue cards in a monotone or what

nah, if anything the CW style is over-emoting.

what you're describing sounds like 95% of all Fox dramas, so it'll be right at home

It's somewhere between that and the lines from your average porn flick.

actually, it's usually "Hallelujah"

I've seriously seen like 6 different CW shows use that for a makeout scene

wikipedia on use of the song in tv:  (somewhere leonard cohen gives a hearty pelvic thrust)

"and TV series such as Holby City, House, M.D., Falcon Beach, The L Word, The O.C. (twice by Jeff Buckley, once by Imogen Heap), Hollyoaks, The West Wing, Scrubs, Without a Trace, Cold Case, Criminal Minds, ER, The Shield, Nip/Tuck, Crossing Jordan, Drama and Nicole, Rescue Me, LAX, Lost, Roswell, Ugly Betty, Numb3rs and Nearly Famous. It was also used in the Third Watch and Without a Trace episodes dealing with the 9/11 events. "Hallelujah" was played at the closing of NBC's Dateline on April 17, 2007, covering the Virginia Tech massacre. During the playing of the song, a montage of photographs regarding the events of the tragedy was displayed.

haha wow.  I know for certain Smallville used it too (I laughed because it was the same week the OC used it).  I'm also 90% sure One Tree Hill has used it as well.

Yeah, I'm gonna say that the mid-season/end-season emotional montage thing is kinda done.

I think the third time they used it was when Marissa died. I am sad that I know this.
