I just went to this gig and it made me think of this place again. I've been absent for ages just because i've been busy doing pretty much nothing. I was going to try and find the how has your day been thread, but then when i thought about all the new threads that had to be made it seemed like a better idea to make my own thread, I think I would rather lots of threads rather than a few long ones...

John's set was really great, it's been so long since i've seen him last and it really reminded me how i've changed, not changed even, moreso what has happened since then. Plus it made my faith in a lot of things come back, made me feel a lot less cynical, lethargic and just sorta, anti-people than i've felt in a while. Which is funny because often that music makes me feel more like that, maybe in quite a forward thinking way. Like, how to kill all my friend's from my life and go somewhere else more than how to kill myself (not that I ever think abuot that, but it's kind of two outputs for the same feeling, sometimes)

I was not very good at talking tonight, i kept explaning what i thought to my friend, and they just disagreed with what I said or 'didn't feel that way about that' or just didn't understand what i was saying, in the headling artists set I had to go outside because it just seemed really drab and whiney after the person before's amazing high energy and inspiring set. Which was one of the best thing's i've seen this year and i'm very thankful for having!

When i got home i was full of energy and was kind of annoyed to be at home at all because i wanted to go out and run about or something, this feeling was not really helped when i found out we had a power cut, so i lit lots of candels and put them about, then had nothing to do and didn't feel like reading so took pictures of the candles in the dark, then started setting stuff on fire and taking pictures of that, used solvents to make bigger fires, then set fire to quite a lot of stuff in my kitchin and there was quite a lot of burning wooden bowls and spoons and toys and i was taking pictures and not really noticing how enguilfed in flames i was until suddenly the power came back on and i looked around where i was, felt a bit snapped out of it...then came and posted here! Is there still a poety/lyrics/stories thread lying about here? Smile

nice to be home! I'm excited about my clubnight on thursday, a hawk and a hacksaw are DJing and might be playing a set, they're staying at my house and i'm going to interview them, i'll show you all it when it's uploaded. Anybody know any good questions? What do you think of the flyer? It's on the myspace www.myspace.com/clubwanderlust

No, dude, it's cool. It just seemed like such a sudden burst of energy and it went in all these different directions all at once. What I really meant was glad to have you back.

Aw Heathcote, I was hoping you'd ADD kitchin fire pix, not take away those other ones! They were cool! Especially the loafers!

well you're too late! They've been and gone!

The fucking role of film that I loaded in the dark came out blank, i'm so annoyed, FILM  IS NOT CHEAP! and those photos would have been good. Once I spend like, a few days taking photos and did not understand why I was not running out of film, till I realised there was no film in the camera...things like that are worse than naming toys after profits!
