Shocked Somebody totally just offered me a job. Shocked

The production company I've been helping out needs freelancers, I guess. I just wish I wasn't totally burnt out and booked up for the next few days, the guy said he could put me to work tonight through Tuesday. I'm kinda unsure about telling him I wasn't available right this second because bailing him out would be a real asset in terms of getting subsequent jobs, but the reality is that I'm scheduled to work tomorrow and Tuesday and I can't exactly bail on that. But they said they'd put me on their list of freelancers, so that's pretty freaking awesome.

Hey, maybe I'll start getting calls.

Also, I just filled out my time sheet and I'ma get the hook up on Friday. Now if only I could score some grass...

Here is why I really came to this thread, though: The boyfriend officially asked me to marry him on Friday night.  I said yes.  Incredibly, insanely happy right now, with a beautiful ring on my finger to boot.  I told my parents (who have yet to meet him) the news, and they were both really happy for me.  My mom almost cried (not in a bad way).  Yay!  Life is so awesome right now.  Won't be doing the actual deed for a while (maybe about a year?), but that's a good thing.  Yay!  Yay!

!!!

you are officially completely insane. remember how he was living with his um, fiance or was it ex-fiance (who can keep track?), while i was dating him?!? good luck with that. seriously.

If I had to choose between the mail and the tacos, I'd choose the tacos.

If I had to choose between the mail and tacos, I'd choose burritos.  But tacos would be OK.

Thanks for the congratulations, everyone!  I was expecting it, yes, but that didn't make it any less awesome.

Jeb: I don't have your number!  I would like it, though!  I'm not big on beer, but I'm definitely up for having a drink or two with you!  I just posted my number on a myspace bulletin, if you ever read those things and want to give me a ring.  Otherwise, you can send me your number in a private message or whatever.

Laura: Not getting into a private discussion about this with you on a message board.  You think I'm insane, that's cool, I get it.  I don't think I'm insane.  If you can't be happy for me, I understand that.  I'm happy enough for myself, and really, that's what matters.

yeah, what a private situation.

from what i can tell, you don't mind sharing every other intimate and minute detail about your life with any random human being that happens to also pass through this forum. you know, LIKE ME. you've opened yourself up to it. it just so happens that when you fuck over and lie to someone who was supposed to be your friend for the past six years (IN REAL ACTUAL LIFE), that's a huge secret that no one can know about. sorry to rain on everyone's parade. this whole situation makes me sick. i know it's pretty low to be talking about this here, but i just couldn't resist. i understand if everyone here hates me, and i don't really plan on coming back anymore. it's just that i know how everyone worships morgan for the sweet little thing she is. i used to feel that way too. i had to make a stand to make myself feel better, knowing that it's so fucking easy to be popular when you craft such a solid internet persona. and for the record, i really do think you're insane. you've practically been engaged to/planned to move anywhere for nearly every dude you've slept with. it's a beyond insulting who you've chosen this time. i just can't wait for it to backfire. it's too bad i'll probably never find out when it does.

i'm done now.

oh shit, and I had just come here to post my joy over finding a downloadable version of the unbuyable 1975 porn flick French Kittens, in which Jamie Gillis apparently blows and is blown by a transsexual in an otherwise hetero film. But yikes, that sort of killed the mood.

Anyway, I wouldn't say I "worship" Morgan, but I do like her an awful lot, and I send my congrats, insane or not. Love is fucked up shit, whatcha gonna do?

When it comes to persecution complex's it's a marathon not a sprint, far more impressive are those that can last over thousands posts.

Anyway, congrats to Morgan and her inamorato.  Seems a little hasty to me, but I guess if you know then you know.

It was equally vague before; just a "There is a DC Secret Files And Origins one-shot about all this, y'all" kind of message, which makes me quite curious about the back-story involved.

My favorite DC Secret Files and Origins issue is an all ape issue that does Congorilla, Detective Chimp, and someone else - But right now I'm blanking as to who.

I never read that one!  I'm sure you know this bit of trivia, but just in case:

Word on the street is that DC has so many ape villains because every time they put a gorilla on their covers back in the sixties, comic sales would rise dramatically.

That's one of the most fascinating things I've ever read here.
