whoa!

Two money things!!

1. my expected contribution dropped by 5,000 dollars according to my new FAFSA

2. Found out about a scholarship worth another 5,000 dollars a year at my school. It's new! There might be more than one! I have to write a 10-12 page paper on women and equality in some manner but. but MAN. If I could get that? and my aid will go up a bit?

Well. if all of that happens I could be looking at going to school for about 4,000 dollars next year. THIS WOULD THRILL ME. I mean. that includes room and board. that's everything. I might cry for joy.

Fixed that for you.

Exciting! Smile

Wow.  Just...wow.  I'm not even going to say anything to that.  Pretty sure no one here worships me!  That's all.

Congrats, Beth!

Edit: Man, I really want to reply to that, 'cause I'm pretty much seething right now, but.  Not worth it.

Yeah morgan, even without knowing any of the backstory, I think it's pretty safe to say that it's a good idea not to drag this particular line of conversation any further. You can rest assured that that post there is not making you look bad, anyway.

Let's focus on sending best wishes to you and your fiance instead! And wishing Beth good luck for acquiring that scholarship!

My inborn American desire to see you slug it out in public is at odds with my better nature. But you should listen to a-dogg.

Thanks, guys.  Smile

Warm hugs all around, &c.!  And Beth, seriously, congratulations -- I know how stressful it can be to think about money stuff related to school, so it's awesome that a lot of that stress might be taken off of your shoulders.

Word on the street is that DC has so many ape villains because every time they put a gorilla on their covers back in the sixties, comic sales would rise dramatically.

That's one of the most fascinating things I've ever read here.

In that vein, this is the cover to Salvation Run #4

seriously, some random person who's posted half a dozen times in two years jumps into a thread like this with the express purpose of shitting all over you? there's no need to reply to that. nothing you could say back to it would make it look as bad as it already looks all by itself.

I never read that one!  I'm sure you know this bit of trivia, but just in case:

Word on the street is that DC has so many ape villains because every time they put a gorilla on their covers back in the sixties, comic sales would rise dramatically.

It was way too long before I figured out this was about comics and not the District of Columbia. I need to pay better attention to what I'm reading.

Ok, that was pretty weird. How exactly did she envision that working?

Anyway, although I am unable to worship you as I barely know you, I feel comfortable wishing you happiness. Best of luck with the engagement, etc.
