I vote both.

That time I formatted my computer and didn't back up my rss feeds/was too lazy to install a reader etc was the best thing I ever inadvertently did.

Oh god, I'm running later than I'd like and it's one of those hurts-to-move mornings.

Christ. I had a long fucking day today and it's going to be followed up by an ungodly long fucking day tomorrow. Admittedly, the show is getting closer and more relaxed by the day, but that partially feels like a failure to me. Plus, I drank a few beers a couple hours ago and didn't eat anything so that combined with stress is giving me a stomach ache. Ugh. This whole fucking week I've been fighting the urge to get in bed and hide forever.

We have new downstairs neighbors. I am fairly certain that I am going to kill them.

It's my birthday next week. That doesn't make me annoyed.
But I got an email from my Dad this morning. The subject line was "Parental Duty" and the body of the email was "Happy Birthday". That's all. He didn't even sign off or anything. It struck me as a bit backhanded & passive agressive. I'm usually over getting pissed off at my father but I realised in the afternoon that I was in bad mood and I think that email was why. Which is lame.
I could just be being over sensitive but who knows.

Woah, that is quite something. Certainly doesn't sound like you're being oversensitive there.

Annoyances, in three parts

1) Taxes - I had to pay the government more than the cost of a new car this year in taxes.  Unfortunately, even though I was born in the United States, and reside in the United States, I do not have a real voice in Congress.  I am one of 600,000 people in the United States subject to this.  Therefore I give them money, yet have no way to hold them accountable for anything.  If Puerto Ricans, Guamese, and American Samoans don't have to pay taxes, then why do I?

2) Grad School - I had to leave a course that I need to graduate last night after the Professor told the class where she worked.  Since I am involved in evaluating proposals from her company, I can't take a grade from her w/o it being a potential conflict of interest.  My adviser is not calling me back about this.  I may not be able to graduate.

3) Getting paid, and being a dumbass in general - I forgot to mark down that I used leave hours on Xmas Eve and Xmas day - Therefore my paycheck was several hundred dollars short.

Today is sucking.

It's a well-documented fact that Dave can be seen "flashing firmware" all over the beltway.

i don't understand why the kids in the group i'm working with to try and open a venue seem to expect me to organize weekly meetings and then do their best to make it pretty much impossible to do so. if i try to organize a meeting, it ends up like today, where TWO FUCKING HOURS before the meeting is supposed to take place, the kids whose house it's supposed to be at won't return my calls. but if i DON'T organize a fucking meeting, everyone's all "why didn't we meet this week? i have things i wanted to talk about." gahhh.

EDIT: finally got things straight, aaaaaand... we're not gonna meet til next week. siiigh.

Sounds like this would be a great opportunity to teach these kids some independence.
