Man, I find it straight-up hilarious that the most useful resource to me for one of my classes is YouTube.
What class would that be? Art History: Arabic Rap?
Fuck you, page breaks.

So the gf totally got selected for a jury; lasting until at least next Tuesday. Ugh. Her work was still going to pay her for today; but I don't know about the rest.
hahaha oh man 6 counts of first degree murder no way that's done by Tuesday

I lent a friend of mine this book
And she was in a jury pool for a White Slavery case, and was reading it in the jury box and immediately got excluded by the defense.
So my plan when I go in for Jury duty next is to bring in a bunch of different radical books and read the appropriate one in the Jury box.

Art History: Arabic Rap?
Qur'anic readings, so kinda. Origins of Arabic Rap in Late Antiquity, that would be ISLM 40599 if you have your course catalog handy.

Yeah, she had some hilarious stories about the shit people said to try to get out of it. Oddly enough, a lot of it didn't work. They asked everyone, "What do you like to do in your free time?" One dude just said, "DRINK" and he still ended up on the jury.

How to be lame is just a few steps.
1. Invite a few friends round for friday drinks cos is was your birthday a few days ago.
2. Decide your feeling antisocial and retreat to your room.
3. Get drunk.
4. Play The Mistreaters Live album side one. (have TV on with sound down)
5. Whilst changing record over decide to turn sound up on TV
6. Watch final third of Bridgit Jone's movie (the second one)
7. Be happy when she gets together with that guy from the BBC version of Pride & Prejudice.
8. Write about steps 1-6 on internet.
Regards

I had a weird evening. I went to a family dinner at the family home of a couple (both girls) who I flat with. The grandmother had recently turned 88. She was awesome. Quote to my flatmate: "I only became Catholic because your grandfather had a drinking problem and I thought he'd be more comfortable there".
We then went to a party where I was the only person with a drink. Someone offered me a beetroot juice!
Killdozersnakeboy: "Does anyone want a beer?"

Any of you guys have any idea where I might go online to answer questions such as these:
"What (approximately) is the annual mean temp at the equator? Throughout the tropics? At 30 degrees north or south? At 40, 50, and 60 degrees north or south? North of the Arctic Circle?"
Senile old dude that teaches the class sends out these huge-ass questionnaire type emails full of questions for which he did not provide the answers in lecture. The answers could probably be had from the book, but there's no fucking way I'm buying that thing this late in the game. And all of my googling and poking around has yielded very little in the way of useful information here, due mostly to the way science websites are set up, I guess.

I'm glad I got out when I did. Apparently they all started dancing to the Footloose soundtrack.

So I just got this shirt in the mail from my mother, with no note or anything. And I thought my dad's midlife crisis of picking up chicks I went to high school with was odd.

awesome.
I just found that for one of my courses the professor uploaded an 80 page document to the share site for us. He has highlighted various sections in it. Not very long ones, mind you. That's all we need to read. I would say about 30 percent of the document is highlighted. This doesn't strike me as very efficient.
I also doubt my ability to read only part of a page filled with perfectly good words.

You know, one of the supreme pleasures of my life has been watching my parents relax with age. One day, similarly, I got this shirt that said "Friends Don't Let Friends Vote Republican".
