Today has been such a random phone day. I got a call from my sales rep at Sweetwater (yeah, come to think of it, I did need to blow a bunch of money on audio shit right now!) followed by a call from the power company for someone who no longer has my phone number.

I went to high school in Auckland and later Japan, the poster is from my Auckland high school. It would, I imagine, be inappropriate to post any personal info or whatever, and I imagine he is probably a lurker as I have no proof of him actually posting, just visiting the forums from his computer an awful lot.

So I celebrated my birthday with the uncle/aunt/cousin last night (my birthday is really next Sunday, though, so mark your calendars) and took home the uneaten half of the birthday cake. I don't want a half a cake. I had two pieces today and now I feel bloated and gross. The first piece was good, though.

It is nice, though, when one's big problem in life is that one has too much chocolate cake.

Hey man I ain't gonna rip you. My uni, a STATE school, has built two new residence halls, a brand new student center, and started three new building expansions in the last two years. All the while we're running a huge fucking deficit and tuition has increased TWENTY FOUR FUCKING PERCENT since I started here. 6% a year, the maximum allowed by law. WTF.

Then again man I mean if your 'rents are clocking more than 60K a year, they can probably afford to kick in a little bit, right? Full tuition rides are for those who really don't have anything save what the govt will give em. And I imagine the gov't is gonna give you something, at least in the form of loans, right?
Also if you wait a year they won't figure your parents' income into their financial aid decisions.
