Richard looks like this guy I know.

You all look like people I know!

Sometimes, when I'm walking down the street, I wonder if I have a kind of brain damage that makes everybody look like I know them.

or maybe they ran over budget and cutback on extras so some people have to play more than one part.

See, the thing is, I  work in the East Village, and I walk by just enough actual celebrities that when I see someone who looks like Paul Giamatti but I'm not close enough to be sure, my heuristic actually usually tips into 'Yeah, why not? He looks weird in person.'

Part of what I'm doing at work now is transferring hours and hours of episodes of one of our station's shows from the early-mid '80s called Southwinds into digital files.  We didn't even have an archive of them ourselves, we had to get the tapes from the Atlanta History Center.  So I'm getting to use this old ReVox reel to reel to listen to segments about MLK and James Dickey and the Georgia Guidestones and  all sorts of other interesting stuff.

The guy in the background is not dressed up! Take your hat off indoors!

I think I may have posted this before, but I just found it again, as if for the first time:

My old friend from university, Chris (furthest right) just sent me a couple of pictures from 1990.

This was our imaginary band photo. I think we were called Roofrack. I'm the tart 2nd right, of course. The other bloke in the middle was my flatmate and good friend, gareth. Big Dave, on the left, was another fine fellow and taught me everything I know about vegetarian cooking.

And this was me the day before I got all my hair cut off.

I snapped a picture of Ron Paul's zeppelin outside the Myrtle Beach, SC airport a few days ago.  I don't know why or how Ron Paul got his hands on a zeppelin; all I know is I'm terrified.
