I'm concerned about the proportionality.  I think the best impact to look for here is a kind of understated precision.

oh I sort of think it's bullshit the NYT linked to the prostitute's MySpace page. But my favorite part of this whole mess is Alan fucking Dershowitz, quoted in the Times soon after the news broke:

seriously. when i heard that her identity was being discussed by news organizations, it really pissed me off. how is that relevant? what's the point? let her live her life. it's not like this whole legal matter isn't going to fuck it up enough.

you can split hairs about how exactly prostitutes are victimized but nevertheless Dershowitz remains a shit-encrusted asshole

I think it depends on the situation and how you look at it. My crazy ex-Black Panther film professor made a pretty convincing case that prostitutes are the most liberated people in the world.
