| OK, listen, I have to apologize for the
half-piece you’re getting as an update this week. I had a really
good piece going: honest I did. It was about Tupac Shakur’s
“Hit ‘Em Up” and it looked like it was going places.
Then the computer on which I was writing it crashed, taking with it
not only the first six paragraphs of this week’s update, but
a couple of fairly crucial documents which I hope to rescue before
leaving for Holland on Thursday. As I said a few weeks ago, things
may be spotty for the next couple of months. I didn’t know they’d
be getting quite this random, but I guess that if I could have predicted
how things would shape up, they wouldn’t have been random at
all. Anyhow here are ten songs for this week, all of them with insufficient
commentary. Trust me, the piece I was working on was really great.
If the iBook ever elects to illuminate its once-proud screen again,
